Dorothy Ann (Gallagher) Phillips, 90 of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on October 3, 2011 in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa.

Dorothy was born on May 6, 1921 in Brier Hill, Pa., the daughter of Ory and Margaret C. (Swogger) Gallagher.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a son: Lucian E. Mickey, two brothers: Leroy Gallagher and Harold Gallagher and three sisters: Elizabeth Magee and Norma Thomas and Gloria Newberg.

Dorothy was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 51.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Arthur W. Phillips of Uniontown, a daughter Donna J. Allison of Uniontown, Pa.; five grandchildren: Kim Dugan of Uniontown, Pa., Ray Allison, Uniontown, Pa., April Mickey of Canton, Ohio, Peter W. Mickey of Canton, Ohio and Randal Mickey of Slippery Rock, Pa.; 11 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Ruth Mays of Jacksonville, Fla., and Hazel Workman of Uniontown, Pa.

Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, PA, today (Thursday) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 9 to 10:00 a.m. at which time a service will be held in the funeral home with the Rev. Terry Upton officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
