Frederick E. Keener
Frederick E. Keener, age 82 of Fairchance, Pa. died Wednesday, October 5, 2011, in Golden Living Nursing Center, Uniontown, Pa.
He was born June 23, 1929 in Fairchance, Pa., son of the late Ray Keener and Mabel (Goldsboro) Keener.
Frederick was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Sholtis) Keener.
Surviving are two sons: Andrew Keener and his girl friend, Tina Guthrie of Fairchance, Pa. and Matthew Keener and his wife, Alexandra of Las Vegas, Nevada, a sister, Shirley Stange of Connellsville, Pa. and a brother, David R. Keener and his wife, Sharon of Winter Haven, Florida.
Frederick was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fairchance where he was a long time choir member and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He gifted our lives with love and friendship. He filled us with laughter and joy and always managed a smile in the face of adversity.
He was our father, our brother, our friend, and our hero! His kindness and love enlightened our worlds and left us all better people. He will always be remembered in love and will be a part of us forever.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 8 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Robinson officiating. Interment will be private.
