Ruth Goodwin ‘Babe’
Ruth ‘Babe’ Goodwin, age 77 years, of Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania went to meet our Lord after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Her niece, Tammy Goodwin, was by her side at her passing.
She was the Daughter of Zelda and Carl Goodwin of Lemont Furnace.
Ruth worked at the Keystone Fireworks Factory in Dunbar, Pennsylvania and also worked many years at the Berkowitz Shirt Factory in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
Ruth ‘Babe’ Goodwin was a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ruth never married. She dedicated her life to the Lord.
She was a member of the Cove Run Free Methodist Church in Lemont Furnace.
Ruth was loved and adored by all that knew her. She will be truly missed!
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Zelda and Carla Goodwin of Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania; and a Brother, Carl Goodwin Jr. of Connellsville, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her Sister, Anna Mae Dursa (Andrew) of U n i o n t o w n, Pennsylvania; Brother, Robert Goodwin (Loretta) of Lemont Furnace; Sister, Geraldine Crayton (Gerald), Coudersport Pennsylvania; Nieces: Robin Ewing (Tim) of H o p w o o d, Pennsylvania, Sherry Clark (Ken) of Austin, Pennsylvania, Tammy Goodwin of Lemont Furnace, Glenda Matthews (Jerry) of Lemont Furnace, Brenda Goodwin Leszczynski of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, K a r e n Dietrich (R o b e r t) of Greensburg, Pennsylvania and C i n d y Tristani (Dave) of Dunedin, Florida; Great Nieces and Great Nephews: Heather Grolami (Vincent and sons Jacob and Andrew) of F r a n k l i n, Tennessee, Catelyn Ewing of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Wesley Clark and Benjamin Clark both of Austin, Pennsylvania, Joey Leszczynski, Seth Leszczynski both of Connellsville, Robert Dietrich Jr. of Greensburg, Amanda Wiltrout (Ben) of White, Pennsylvania, Ryan Tristani, Sarah Tristani and Luke Tristani all of Dunedin, Florida; and her lifelong Friend and Sister in Christ, Carrie McGregor of Lemont Furnace.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the COVE RUN FREE METHODIST CHURCH, 345 Yauger Hollow Road, Lemont Furnace.
