DUNBAR TWP. – The 57th annual Fayette County Fair proved another success, recording a small increase in attendance and finances on the positive side despite two nights of bad weather.

“Attendance was up slightly – about 2,000 to 3,000 people. And we’re in good financial shape,” said board president Bill Jackson at the annual dinner meeting of the Fayette County Agricultural Improvement Association, held Monday night at the fairgrounds.

The 2011 attendance moved to over 95,000 people for the 10-day event, held July 28-Aug. 6.
