Laurel Highlands make AYP

Laurel Highlands School District commended students for their hard work leading up to the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment test, noting that the district again made Adequate Yearly Progress.

At tonight’s school board meeting, Director of Curriculum Randy Miller said the final numbers for the 2011 school year have been released and that Laurel Highlands saw improvements at every building.

The mandated state test is to measure writing, math, science and reading achievement of students in grades 3 through 8 and 11.
