The following are results from recent livestock auctions and crop sales in the region.

There were no results from the Eighty Four Livestock Auction, Eighty Four, for Oct. 10, the Columbus Day holiday.

Results from the Pennsylvania Livestock Auction, Waynesburg, for Oct. 13 were as follows:

Slaughter Cows traded 1.50 to 2 higher on breakers and boners with good demand and a large supply. Feeder steers and bulls sold steady. Feeder heifers were steady to 5 lower. Supply include 80 slaughter Cattle, 10 slaughter bulls and 500 feeder cattle.

All prices per hundredweight.

Slaughter cattle

Slaughter steers: Select 1 to 2 1,035 to 1,210 pounds, 101.50 to 106. Slaughter Holstein steers: No test.

Slaughter heifers: No test.

Slaughter cows

Premium whites, 67 to 75 percent lean, 76.50 to 80 average dressing; breakers, 75 to 80 percent lean, 71.50 to 75 average dressing, 75.50 to 76 high dressing and 67.50 to 68 low dressing; boners, 80 to 85 percent lean, 67 to 71 average dressing, 74 high dressing and 64 to 64.50 low dressing; lean, 85 to 90 percent lean, 61 to 66 average dressing, 68 high dressing and 57 to 60 low dressing.

Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 1,240 to 1,835 pounds, 73 to 76, one at 85.50. Yield grade 2 1,280 to 1,940 pounds, 69.50 to 71.50.

Feeder cattle

Steers: Medium and large 1 400 to 500 pounds, 133 to 141; 500 to 600 pounds, 127 to 136; 600 to 700 pounds, 123 to 128. Medium and large 2 300 to 500 pounds, 112.50 to 131; 500 to 700 pounds, 110 to 124. Heifers: Medium and large 1 300 to 500 pounds, 122 to 133; 500 to 600 pounds, 116 to 124; 600 to 700 pounds, 96 to 108. Medium and large 2 300 to 500 pounds, 103 to 120; 500 to 700 pounds, 95 to 112. Bulls: Medium and large 1 300 to 400 pounds, 132.50 to 141; 400 to 500 pounds, 129 to 137.50;

500 to 600 pounds, 119 to 130; 600 to 700 pounds, 111 to 123. Medium and large 2 300 to 500 115 to 126; 500 to 700 pounds, 108 to 117.
