1 min read

State police said four people accused of running an international lottery scam were arrested Tuesday night.

Trooper Thomas B. Broadwater said Michaelee Fitz-Andy Jamieson, 23; Jeffery Augustus Bernard, 23; Sylvester Williams, 32; and Junior Powell, 31; were each charged with receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy and corrupt organizations.

All are from Jamaica and reside at 924 Success Drive in Wharton Township.

Police allege the foursome was targeting elderly citizens throughout the United States, telling them they won a large sum of money and directing them to send money to cover costs associated with winning.
