City council to begin 2012 budget process

CONNELLSVILLE – The city’s director of accounts and finance speculates that residents will not see an increase in property taxes as City Council begins the budgetary process for 2012.

Councilman Brad Geyer said Friday that the retirement of two firefighters this year will make a more positive financial impact in the 2012 spending plan, likely reducing the need to tap taxpayers for additional revenue.
