Two of four former members of California University of Pennsylvania’s rugby club that were charged with assaulting two men at a fraternity house Oct. 21, will stand trial while the remaining two suspects pleaded guilty to summary charges today.

California police said Rithichai V. Phothisuk, 20, of Cheswick; Michael C. Boyd, 20, of Finleyville; Jacob W. Hetzer, 21, of Stoystown and Joel A. Zollars, 22, of Waynesburg were each charged with burglary, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and harassment.

Boyd and Hetzer waived all charges against them to Washington County Court during a preliminary hearing this morning before Magisterial District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

The more serious charges against Zollars and Photisuk were dropped and the men then pleaded guilty to summary charges of harassment and disorderly conduct.
