Masontown police continue probe of homicide

Masontown police said they are continuing to investigate the shooting death of a Masontown man who was gunned down in mid-August.

Masontown police Chief Joseph C. Ryan said that police are continuing to pursue all leads in the homicide of Leon Mickens and are currently waiting for analysis of forensic evidence to be completed.

“We are working on this case and are proceeding with our investigation,” Ryan said, adding that investigators are waiting on results of multiple tests regarding evidence in the case to be concluded.
