Masontown police probe stabbing

By Josh Krysak heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

Masontown police are investigating after an unidentified man laid in wait in the backseat of a car, then held the driver at knifepoint before stabbing him in the neck last week.

Chief Joseph C. Ryan said the incident occurred Oct. 24 shortly before midnight as James Rucker of McClellandtown was driving to a bar on Main Street.

Ryan said that Rucker was returning to the bar after driving another patron home when an unidentified man sat up after apparently laying in wait in the rear of Rucker’s car, held a knife to the 64-year-old’s throat and ordered him to keep driving.
