By Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

A Fairchance man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol when he drove a woman to the state police station in North Union Township to pick up a third person who had been arrested for the same alleged crime.

State police alleged that Timothy Jacobs, 20, drove away when the woman went into the station around 3 a.m. Aug. 26. Trooper Joseph L. Ross said her purse was still in the car. Police found Jacobs in his car on Eberly Way near Route 119 going through the unidentified woman’s purse.

Ross said that Jacobs was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol before Magisterial District Judge Wendy Dennis on Tuesday. Jacobs was also cited for careless driving.
