BREAKING: Police to hold press conference on suspected homicides

By Josh Krysak heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

State police in West Virginia have confirmed that a Morgantown man who tried to run a Fairchance woman over Monday was responsible for a quintuple homicide.

Authorities said Shayne Wriggleman, 22, shot five people in a Morgantown home, and fled. When police closed in on Wriggleman, he was in Kentucky, and took his own life, police said during a press conference this afternoon.

Wriggleman came to Fayette County at some point in the day Monday and met up with his ex-girlfriend in Fairchance, asking if he could take her for a ride.

Pennsylvania state police Sgt. Joseph D’Andrea said the woman was smart enough to decline the ride and then reported to police that Wriggleman was driving a vehicle that belonged to another ex-boyfriend’s parents.

West Virginia authorities became involved trying to find Wriggleman, and instead discovered the bodies of five people.
