Allan ‘Albo’ Nichols, 74, of Brownsville, PA, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Laurel Ridge Center in Uniontown, PA.

He was born May 22, 1937, the son of Homer and Nellie (Laughery) Nichols.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Ann Nichols and brother, Donald Nichols.

Allan loved sports. He managed Albodine’s and Labelle’s softball teams and he belonged to several sports clubs for football and golf. He loved the Steelers and was a season pass holder for over 25 years. Allan belonged to the Eagles Aerie 1356 in Brownsville and at one time was a South Brownsville Volunteer Fireman.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Sandra Nichols; two children: Lisa Provance and husband, Jeffery, Brownsville, PA and Curtis Nichols and wife, Angela, Texas; six grandchildren: Rori Beth and Rhiannon Provance, Phillip Bruno, Troy, Justin and Jeremy Nichols; two brothers: Patrick Nichols, Hopwood, PA and Daryl Nichols, Maxwell, PA; two sisters: Patty Liston, Maxwell, PA and Carol Vargas, Ohio and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, with Rev. Michael Peton officiating.
