Ambassadors aid Flight 93 National Memorial visitors

1 min read

SHANKSVILLE – Several times a week Shanksville resident Donna Glessner makes her way to the Flight 93 National Memorial, just a few miles from her home to help visitors understand the story of that tragic September day in 2001.

Her treks to the crash site began shortly after 9/11 when it was discovered that visitors were not getting accurate information about what had taken place at the site.

Like others in the small community of about 500 residents, Glessner was going about her routine when she was made aware of what had taken place in New York and at the Pentagon.
