Churches and religious organizations plan special services for 9/11 anniversary
On this 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on America, local churches and religious organizations are planning special services.
“We thought it was an appropriate time to not only remember those who have given their lives in response to that tragic event but also in thanksgiving for those locally who give of their lives daily to ensure our safety and security,” said the Rev. John Cruikshank of St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Uniontown where the Uniontown Area Clergy Association will hold a memorial service Sunday.
Numerous observances are planned over the next few days. A listing will be published in HeraldStandard.com and www.heraldstandard.com.
