Bridge implosion to cause traffic delays

1 min read

Traffic around the Ten Mile Creek Bridge at the Greene-Washington county border will be temporarily halted when the bridge is imploded at 10 a.m. Monday, according to the state Department of Transportation (PennDOT). Traffic on Route 88, Main Street and Black Dog Hollow Road will be stopped at 9 a.m. and allowed to resume after the implosion. A new bridge has been built adjacent to the old bridge. Boat traffic on Ten Mile Creek also will be closed before the implosion and will remain closed for 48 hours afterward to allow crews to clean up the debris. Boat traffic on the Monongahela River will not be restricted.
