Tax service seeks workers
Fay-West area Jackson Hewitt Tax Service locations will participate in the company’s first national tax preparer recruiting week from Monday through Friday. The week long event is aimed at attracting community residents who are interested in seeking seasonal or full-time employment in the tax service’s locations in the Fay-West area.
Job seekers will learn about Jackson Hewitt’s career building opportunities, flexible hours, hands-on training and learning about federal requirements.

Plat book available
The 4-H Washington County plat book is now available to the public. The plat book is an alphabetical listing of landowners with 10 or more acres in Washington County. People involved in buying and selling land, those interested in recreational activities in the area and landowners are those who generally purchase a plat book.
Profits from the sale of the book go to the 4-H Development Fund. The money is used to financially support 4-Hers transportation and registration fees to national and state events, such as Capital Days, State Days, National 4-H Congress and the national 4-H Conference.
People may buy a copy of the book at the Washington County Extension office, 100 W. Beau St., Washington, room 601 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. of 4:30 p.m. For information, call 724-228-6881.

RegionalCare Hospital Partners to merge
RegionalCare Hospital Partners Inc., a Warburg Pincus portfolio company, announced it has signed a definitive agreement to merge with Essent Healthcare Inc., a portfolio company of Vestar Capital Partners and Cressey & Co.
Nashville, Tenn.-based Essent is the owner and operator of three market-leading, non-urban acute care hospitals located in Sharon, Connecticut; Waynesburg, Pennsylvania and Paris, Texas.
The merger, which is conditioned on customary regulatory reviews and approvals, is expected to close by the fourth quarter of this year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Day-to-day operations at the Essent hospitals will be unaffected by the parent-company-level merger.
Essent Healthcare was founded in 1999 with the mission of acquiring community hospitals and providing them with the financial resources and expertise needed to grow.
