September sheriff’s report

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department said deputies fielded 259 calls for service in August, including 75 complaints and summons, 27 landlord/tenant disputes and 63 protection-from-abuse cases.

Additionally, officers said they conducted 13 personal property executions, served nine bench warrants and issued or renewed 283 gun permits.

Officers said the department transported 52 prisoners during the month nearly 5,000 miles.

Deputies also provided 184 hours of security at the Fayette County Courthouse and the county 911 center.
