Verdicts from court term listed
An Allison man was convicted of drug charges during Fayette County’s criminal court term.
Wilfredo T. Smith, 48, was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to deliver drugs, delivery of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct following a trial before Judge Nancy D. Vernon.
The charges related to an incident on Aug. 1, 2010, in Brownsville.
Other verdicts handed down last week include:
n Frederick A. Sherwood, 35, of Connellsville was found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol and various summary offenses related to a Sept. 3, 2010, traffic stop in Connellsville.
Judge Steve P. Leskinen will sentence Sherwood at a later date.
n Donald Fogle, 42, of Dunbar was convicted of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief following a trial before Judge John F. Wagner Jr. The charges related to an incident on Sept. 29, 2010, in Connellsville.
Wagner will sentence him at a later date.
n Thomas Jerome Stark Sr., 47, of Mill Run was acquitted of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property related to an alleged theft in Georges Township on Jan. 15, 2010. The case was held before Judge Ralph C. Warman.
