Helen V. Prah Locke
Helen V. (Prah) Locke, age 83, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Saturday morning September 10, 2011 in her home with her family by her side.
Born on January 6, 1928 in Lemont Furnace, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Prah and Mary (Yurkovich) Prah.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Joseph Locke; grandson, Sean Patrick Locke; sisters and brother: Caroline Patchan, Ann Kelly and Joseph Prah.
Helen was a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church and The Christian Mothers. She graduated from the former St. John R.C. High School. She worked for many years at Rockwell International and she enjoyed Antiques and collectables.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children: daughter, Veronica J. Horvath and husband, Andrew of Uniontown and their son, Mark; son, Michael P. Locke of Uniontown; daughter-in-law, Carol Santore Locke-Ohler of Uniontown and her children: Caitlin Marie Locke, John Joseph Locke, Jr. and Kevin Michael Locke and wife, Amy and their children, Connor and Emma; brother and sisters: John D. Prah and wife, Dorothy of Lewisburg, Pa., Mary Jane Shay of Washington, D.C., Frances D. Carter of Washington, D.C. and Hermina Cervenak and husband, Thomas of Uniontown, Pa.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., this morning until 9:30 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church with Rev. Father Michael J. Crookston as Celebrant.
Interment follows in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Uniontown.
