Parents upset with elimination of pool at Laurel Highlands High School

Parents expressed concerns Thursday evening about the elimination of the swimming pool from building renovation plans for the Laurel Highlands High School.

The possibility of renovating the pool had been part of earlier plans for the building, but the concrete roof over the pool area has begun to collapse and district officials determined that it would not be cost-efficient to move ahead with the pool in the plans.
