Uniontown man waives armed robbery charges to court

A Uniontown man accused of robbing another man at gunpoint during a botched drug deal in North Union Township May 29 waived all charges against him to court Wednesday.

State police Trooper James A. Pierce said Vincent Paul Cossell, 30, of 197 Pittsburgh St. was charged before Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr. with robbery of a motor vehicle, robbery, two counts of theft, two counts of receiving stolen property, terroristic threats, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Cossell waived the charges to Fayette County Court during a preliminary hearing held Wednesday afternoon before Magisterial District Judge Wendy D. Dennis.

Pierce said the charges were filed following an incident in a business parking lot on Route 51 around 1:30?p.m. May 29.
