Louise S. Sheranko Smith
Louise S. (Sheranko) Smith, 91 of Dayton, Ohio and formerly of Bobtown, Pa., passed away Monday September 12, 2011 at home. She was born in Alicia, Pa., November 4, 1919, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Stashko) Sheranko.
She was a graduate of the Point Marion High School, class of 1938 and a graduate of Sinclair Community College, Dayton, Ohio. She retired from the Federal government’s Defense Electronic Supply Center, Dayton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Westley Smith, three brothers, Joseph,Andrew and Lawrence Sheranko and two sisters Elizabeth Pekar and Catherine Sheranko.
She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Weldon, Dayton, Ohio and one sister Dorothy Braddee and her husband Arlett, New Geneva, Pa.
Louise loved to bowl and still loved to read even though her eyesight was failing.
Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Thomas B. Rudolph Funeral Director and Super-visor on Sunday, September 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, September 19 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Andrew Kawecki officiating.
Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
