Rohanna, Adamson advance
Robert Rohanna broke his string of even-par rounds Friday, and it was a good thing because his 1-under 71 was the score he needed to advance from PGA Q-School prequalifying.
After consecutive rounds of 72, the Waynesburg Central graduate carded his first under-par round at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla., lifting him into a tie for 34th place and a berth into the first qualifying stage for PGA Q-School.
The top 40 (and ties) advanced through, and, although he was tied for 34th, the ties took the field to 40. One golfer stood at even par, missing the cut in 41st.
Jefferson-Morgan graduate Mike Adamson also advanced, shooting a 1-under 71 for a three-round total of 3-under 213. He finished in a tie for 28th place.
