Reminder
The monthly soup sales at the Bobtown United Methodist Church will begin Oct. 1 at the church. Those wishing to place an order for this day should call Helen Bittinger at 724-839-7288, Margaret Vincie at 724-943-3687 or Kitty Friend at 724-839-7289.
Standing orders will be acknowledged and must be told when calling for the order. Eleven varieties of soup plus a small loaf of bread with each quart are expected to be available.
All orders for Oct. 1 sale will be accepted until no later than Sept. 28 at noon.
Scheduled events
The Shannopin Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the Civic Club Hall. All are to note the time for this meeting.
On Wednesday, the United Methodist Women of the Methodist church will meet at the church at 6:30 p.m. Bible study will precede the business. All are to note the time.
Fall rummage sale for the Methodist church will be held Oct. 6 and 7 at the Civic Club Hall in Bobtown. There will be bargains for all sizes and all ages. A full lunch menu will be available Oct. 6.
Correction
The Back to School Bash at the Bobtown United Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon honoring the school students in the Southeastern School District was erroneously stated as the fifth annual occasion. It is hosted by the Arnold Friend Family and was the seventh annual event. Hoping all goes well in August of 2012. All are thanked for their contribution.
