James R. ‘Jack’ Guthrie
James R. “Jack” Guthrie, 75 of Smithfield, Pa. died suddenly on September 18, 2011.
He was born February 2, 1936 in Elliottsville, Pa. son of Earl L. Guthrie and Myrtle (Rosenburger) Guthrie.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Earl and Myrtle, brothers, Fred Guthrie, Clyde Guthrie and Glenn Guthrie and sisters, Matha Riggin, Dorothy Savage Pluto, Mable Riggin, Jessie Rankin and Lucy Eutsy.
He was employed at Nemacolon Woodlands.
Surviving are his sisters: Betty VanSickle, Elliottsville, Pa. and Donna Hartman, Smithfield, Pa.; brother, Earl Guthrie, Smithfield, Pa.; many nieces and nephews and his dear friend, Judy Humbert of Smithfield, Pa.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 until 1:00 p.m., the hour of service with Pastor Paul Lesher officiating.
Interment in Brown Cemetery, Wharton Township, Pa.
