PennDOT announces work schedule
Chris Sleighter, Fayette County manager with the state Department of Transportation (PennDOT), has announced tentative work plans for the week beginning Monday.
The schedule is as follows:
n The bridge crew is doing bridge deck repairs on state Route 3012 (Leckrone-High House Road).
n Shoulder cutting is scheduled on state Route 281 (Mae West Road).
n Spray patching is scheduled on various state roads in the county.
n Ditch cleaning is scheduled on state Route 4022 (Prison Road).
n Shoulder repair is scheduled on state Route 1055 (Dunbar-Ohiopyle Road) and state Route 4017 (Cemetery Road).
n Mechanized patching is scheduled on state Route 381 in the Ohiopyle/Mill Run areas.
n Rock lining is scheduled on state Route 906 in the Naomi area.
n Pipe replacement is scheduled on state Route 1048 in the Longanecker area.
n Crack sealing is scheduled on state Route 857 (Fairchance-Georges Road).
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and work orders will be addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
All maintenance activities are conducted as the weather permits.
PennDOT said motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights.
PennDOT has a 24-hour toll-free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concern.
The number also can be used to report locations of dead deer on state highways.
