Committee discusses support of lawsuit against state

Members of the county’s vocational school’s operating committee agreed Monday to rally local education officials into a meeting to discuss support of a lawsuit against the state hoping to restore some of the billion dollars in education funding that has been cut.

Jim Tobal, president of the Fayette County Career and Technical Institute committee, told members that he would like to gather all local school board directors and administrators to follow other school districts in western Pennsylvania that are supporting a class action lawsuit encouraged by some state democratic representatives.
