Flenniken offers computer classes
The Flenniken Public Library in Carmichaels is offering free computer classes. Since space is limited, you must pre-register by calling 724-966-5263 or stopping by the library. Each class meets from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursdays.
Class topics include:
n Using a Mouse, Oct. 6. Learn how to manipulate a mouse and some of the keyboard keys. This class should be taken before any other class, unless the participant has prior computer experience.
n Microsoft Vista, Oct. 13. Learn how to use the basics of Microsoft Vista.
n Beginning Internet, Oct. 20. Learn how to get online and find the information you need.
n Microsoft Word 2007, Nov. 3. Learn how to use Word to write letters and reports.
The library will hold a special, expanded Teen Game Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 7. The Wii will be set up with Super Smash Bros. Brawl. A pizza and pop snack will be served to participating teens.
The library will be closed on Oct. 10 in observance of Columbus Day. Renew books, place holds, and do research 24/7 on the library’s website: www.flenniken.org.
Library hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
