Parents who lost child offered movie tickets
Liberty Baptist Church in North Union Township is providing free movie tickets for the 4 p.m. Saturday showing of the film “Courageous” for parents who have lost a child.
The Rev. Ewing Marietta, pastor, reported these parents will first be treated to a dinner at 3 p.m. at Denny’s restaurant in Uniontown before the start of the film at Carmike 6 Cinema at the Uniontown Mall.
Others can view the film for a nominal fee. Register for the event by calling the church at 724-437-2424 or sending an email to ewingcew@juno.com.
“Courageous,” which opens nationwide in theaters today, is the story of four law enforcement officers and their roles as fathers. According to a description from the film’s official site, “When tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God … and to their children?” The film is made by the creators of “Fireproof.”
