Brownsville school district fails to meet AYP

After two years of meeting the achievement targets from the state assessment testing, Brownsville Area School District has fallen back into warning status for the 2010-11 academic year.

The state Department of Education released the results of the 2010-11 Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) testing that revealed that all of Brownsville’s schools, except for Cox-Donahey Elementary School, failed to meet the goals needed to make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP).
