Eli Pritz
Eli Pritz, 96, of Masontown, Pa., passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 after a long full life. He is now with his loving wife, daughter, and family.
Eli was born July 20, 1915 in Martin, Fayette County, Pa., the son of Mike Pritz and Mary (Bolesek) Pritz.
He was a member of Saint Mary Russian Orthodox Church in Masontown, United Mine Workers of America, the Masontown Fish and Game Club, the Faith-Gray-McArdle Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4584, and the PALS Club.
He was very proud to serve in World War II with the United States Army.
Eli worked at the Robena Coal Mine in Greene County.
He was also was owner of Pritz General Store in Gallatin.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 63 years Emaline (Ciaramella) Pritz; a daughter, Charlotte Pritz; brothers, John Pritz, Pete Pritz, Robert Pritz; sister Sophie (Pritz) Hokes; and a brother Charles ‘Walkie’ Pritz.
Eli is survived by his sisters: Mary Arndt of Martin, Pa., Anna Pettraca, Point Marion, Pa., Mildred Floyd of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a nephew, Danny Ciaramella; and a brother in-law Carl Ciaramella who took care of him in his final years.
Family and Friends will be received in HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 515 N o r t h Main Street, Masontown, Pa., on Wednesday April 4, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, April 5, 2012 until 9:30 a.m. the hour of Funeral Liturgy with Father Dimitre Dimitrov officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Masontown, where Military Honors will be accorded by the Faith-Gray-McArdle Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4584 of Masontown.
Panachida Service will be held in Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
