Jacqueline C. Hogan Stark

Jacqueline C. Hogan Stark, age 68, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Thursday evening, April 5, 2012 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.

She was born August 31, 1943 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of the late Donald E. Hogan Sr. and Marcella F. Liston Hogan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Stark; her sister, Ellen Hogan Checton; her brother-in-law, James Stark; and sister-in-law, Mary Catherine Spence.

Jackie, as she was known to all that loved her, was a kind and loving person. She was always there for anyone that needed help. She took great pride in helping to care and baby-sit for many families in the area. She cared for each of them as if they were her own, especially Eric and Ben Sampson whom she felt were ‘her own sons’ they were such a big part of her life, she loved them both dearly.

Jackie was a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church and the Christian Mothers.

She loved baking.

She enjoyed her time with her second family at the Heritage for the past years. She enjoyed being involved in the activities there such as bowling and bingo.

She most of all loved her family and being grandmother, sister, mother, and a friend to all.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Terri Stark Pecsko and husband John, Uniontown, and her loving grandchildren who affectionately call her ‘meme’, A l e x a n d e r and Nicholas; brothers and sisters: Donald E. Hogan Jr. and wife Johnetta of Uniontown, Kathleen M. Hogan Powell and husband Douglas of State College, Pa., Robert T. Hogan and wife Marlene, Uniontown, Richard A. Hogan and wife Theresa of Uniontown and Mary Pat Hogan Murtha and husband James of Uniontown; many, many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews;brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Clarence ‘Buff’ Checton, Calvin Stack and wife Harriet, Dale Stark and Carol, Richard Stark and wife Mary Ann and Shirley Stark; other loving members of the Stark family; many friends and her family at the Heritage.

Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL H O M E, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning until 9:30 where Prayers of Transfer will be said followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist R. C. Church, 55 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, Pa.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Visitation was also held on Easter Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m
