Police seek missing teen
Uniontown police said they are looking for a missing teen after she apparently ran away while visiting her mother on Saturday.
Officer Michael Bittner said 14-year-old Mary Williams, who is currently in the care of Children Youth and Family Services of Pittsburgh, was driven to Uniontown on Saturday for a scheduled visit with her mother, Melissa Williams, 36, of Apartment 1, 72 W. Craig St.
When her visit was ending around 5 p.m., Bittner said that Mary Williams fled from the residence and was not seen or heard from since.
Police were able to determine that she called a teen boy from Braddock shortly before fleeing the home, but said that the boy told police he did not know where she went, Bittner said.
Melissa Williams told police that her daughter has no connections to the Uniontown area and did not have a place where she might have gone in the area.
Bittner said that Mary Williams is a light-skinned black girl, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds.
She was last seen wearing a white shirt with a pink shirt and brown shirt over it, blue jeans and fur leg warmers.
Additionally, Bittner said Mary Williams has two identifiable scars, one on her left arm and another in her right eyebrow.
Anyone with information regarding Mary Williams’ whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-430-2929.
