Viola ‘Vallie’ Thompson King
Viola T. (Thompson) King, age 84, Ohiopyle, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born March 13, 1928 daughter of James C. and Luella (Turner) Thompson.
She graduated in 1946 from South Union High School and was a member of the Chalk Hill United Methodist Church.
‘Vallie’ loved animals, especially dogs, Annalee dolls, country music, antique cars, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and her red Camaro.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 65 years, Ernest E. King.
Mrs. King is survived by her sister, Hazel Celender of Chalk Hill, Pa.; a brother, James Roy Thompson and wife Doris of Fairchance, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME-Farmington Pa., today (Sunday, April 15) until 1 p.m., the hour of the Service with Reverend Terry Collins officiating.
Interment follows in Sunset View Cemetery, Chalk Hill, Pa
Visitation was also held on Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m.
