‘Sexting’ charges against Connellsville teacher held for court
CONNELLSVILLE – A Connellsville Area High School math teacher accused of sending sexual messages to a female student, will face a Fayette County judge following a preliminary hearing held Thursday on the charges.
Kevin Bell, 26, looked away as Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty Jr. ruled that the prosecution had provided sufficient evidence to bound the single felony count of sending obscene and other sexual materials to a minor and a single misdemeanor count of corruption of minors to court.
Fayette County Assistant District Attorney Linda Cordaro said that if convicted, Bell could spent up to 18 months in jail.
