Edward J. Steiner, age 55, of Perryopolis, Pa., passed a w a y Tuesday, April 1 7 , 2012.

H e w a s b o r n September 20, 1956 at Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of B e t t y Brown Steiner Keane and the late Edward John Steiner II.

Edward was a member of the International Labor Union Local 373, the Perryopolis Sokol Club, the Perryopolis Sons of Italy and the Star Junction Fish and Game Club.

In addition to his mother, Edward is survived by two daughters, Ashley Steiner-Braum and husband Jeff of Fayette City, Pa. and Kara Anne Steiner of McCandless Township, Pa.; one grandson, Nathan Joseph Braum; Kathleen Vargo-Steiner of Perryopolis, Pa.; one sister Karen Steiner-Bennett of Smock, Pa.; three brothers, Daniel Steiner of Perryopolis, Pa., James Steiner and wife Christine of Perryopolis, Pa., Edward Keane of Perryopolis, Pa. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edward is preceded in death by his father; one brother, John Keane; maternal grandparents, Charles and Anne Brown; one uncle, Ben Brown; one brother-in-law, Thomas Vargo and his beloved dog, Frankie.

Friends will be received in the BLAIR – LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 21, 2012 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of service.

Interment will be private at a later date.
