Man sues over Uniontown accident

By Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

A Scottdale man sued a roofing company, claiming he was injured at his Fayette County job site.

Joseph H. Prinkey alleged in the Thursday filing in federal court in Pittsburgh that employees of WV Metal Wholesalers Inc. did not adequately secure 20 feet of corrugated steel roofing material on a flatbed truck that delivered the material to a Uniontown business where Prinkey was working. As he was unloading the material, a gust of wind caused the sheet metal materials to hit him in the forearm, attorney Paul G. Mayer alleged in the suit.

That caused an 18-centimeter laceration to his left forearm that cut extensor muscles and lacerated muscle tendons.

The injury left Prinkey with dexterity issues, Mayer alleged.

The suit asks for damages in excess of $75,000.
