Laub taking on new role
Val J. Laub, publisher and vice president of HeraldStandard.com, is taking on a new role with the company as publisher emeritus.
“A new publisher will be named to take over this office as operational leader and I will work with whomever is selected to get that person familiar with our community and employees, and assist them in taking over the reins,” said Laub, a lifelong resident of Uniontown, who is remaining publisher until a new one is named.
Calkins Media CEO Mark Contreras explained, “Publisher emeritus means Val will be the ambassador of goodwill to the community for the newspaper and be there to assist the new publisher.”
