Catherine Kitta

Catherine (Keto) Kita, age 101, of Perryopolis, Pa., passed away August 4, 2012. She was born October 10, 1910 in Warsaw, Poland. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sophia (Sowa) Kita. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1913, when she was a little girl of three.

She was a beloved Aunt to many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews and Great, Great Nieces and Nephews. She will be sadly missed by all of them.

Catherine was a life-long member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, PA. She loved to sew, cross stitch, crochet, and cook. She made beautiful aprons and clothes by hand.

She is survived by the following nieces and nephews; Carol Nucci (Don) of Stockdale, Sophia Murray (Jack) of Grindstone, Cecelia Biggerstaff (David) of Belle Vernon, Beverly Fedutes (Mike) of Perryopolis, John A. Clay, Jr (Margaret Ann) of Perryopolis; Great nieces and nephews: Gianna McFadden (BJ), Heather Pellick (Troy), Bethany Henderson (Matt), Jenifer O’Hern (Aaron), John A. Clay (Jill), Stephanie Rerko (Chris), Ryan Clay and several great, great, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Albert Keto and wife, Ann, Joseph Keto, sister, Mary Clay and brother-in-law John, Sr.

Friends will be received by the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA today where a prayer service will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, Pa. with Father Anthony Ditto and Father James Petrovsky co-celebrants.

Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA. A wake service will be held today in the funeral home
