1 min read

A Uniontown man was charged with burglary for allegedly breaking into a home and stealing several things, including about Christmas presents the woman living there bought for her children.

Myron Lee Rose, 33, of Independence Avenue is also charged with criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief for allegedly taking the items from the Cinder Road home on Amanda R. Miller.

State police said Miller reported she came home around 5 p.m. Friday and saw Rose running from her home, carrying a black bag. Inside, she found that a Blue Ray DVD player, five DVDs, a television report and various presents were missing, police indicated.

Rose was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr. on Wednesday, and put in prison in lieu of $50,000 bond.

He will face a preliminary hearing at George’s office on Dec. 19.
