South Connellsville man sentenced to probation in sex assault
A South Connellsville man was sentenced to five years probation for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Connellsville in last year.
Connellsville police charged Christopher J. Parrill, 19, of 224 Vine St. before Magisterial District Judge Ronald J. Haggerty Jr. with statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors.
Haggerty held both charges against Parrill for Fayette County Court following a preliminary hearing in the weeks after Parrill’s arrest.
This afternoon, Fayette County President Judge Gerald R. Solomon sentenced Parrill to five years probation.
According to a criminal complaint, the charges were filed after Parrill had sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old in a wooded area near Falcon Stadium on Oct. 5, 2011.
