Diane Elizabeth King Potter passed away on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2012 in Greensburg, Pa. after a long illness. Born in Bethlehem, Pa. to the late Clark Whipkey King and Elizabeth Richardson King on May 16, 1936. 

Diane graduated from the Ellis School. She then attended Wells College in N.Y. and Mills College in Calif. In the 1980’s a BA in English from the University of Pittsburgh was earned.

Having raised her three children in Walnut Creek, Calif., Sewickley Pa. and Edgewood Pa., Diane spent her later years in Ligonier and Greensburg Pa.

Surviving are her children: Thomas McAfee Potter, Jr. and his wife, Karen, Tracy Potter Opheim and her husband Peter, and Elizabeth Potter Hall, and her husband Jeff; her brothers: Clark W. King III and David W. King; her six grandchildren: Phoebe, Laura and Brett Potter, Victoria Hall, Ethan and Ogden Opheim; and her dear friend and devoted partner for the last 30 years, Roy Persson.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012. Friends will be received at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME in Uniontown, PA at 11:00 a.m., with a service immediately following at 12:00 p.m.
