The Mountain Weatherman: Happy New Year
Things calmed down yesterday after Saturday’s heavy snow with just some light snow showers around the area. The high yesterday was 24, the overnight low 12 and at 7AM we were 18 degrees under partly cloudy skies. There was about ½ inch of snow yesterday, melted down that was .02 inches of liquid precipitation and we have 10 inches on the ground at Chalk Hill. Increasing clouds today ahead of weak storm that will bring some light snow through the area after dark. More light snow showers tomorrow with the mountain areas getting maybe a total of a couple inches then just plain cold, our coldest air of the winter from Wednesday through the end of the week.
