William Harford Orr, age 87, of Wildwood, Florida and Hopwood, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in The Villages Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages, Florida.

He was born February 1, 1935 in Uniontown, Pa., son of Clarence Orr and Sarah Harford Orr-Sullivan.

‘Bill’ served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Radioman 3rd Class Petty Officer on board the USS Bunch DE 694-APD-79.

He was retired from the trucking business where he was the Agent for All State Trucking and was a co-owner of Orr Brothers Trucking.

He was a Life Member of the AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood

‘Bill’ was an avid golfer for many years.

He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Linda S. Martin; a grandson, Randall Orr; and a brother, Samuel Orr

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Roe Orr; children: Debra J. Crawford and her husband Donald, Farmington, Pa., William Orr and his wife Tammy of Uniontown, Pa., David Orr and wife Shelly of Uppermiddletown, Pa.; seven grandchildren: Jeffrey Orr and wife Christine of Farmington, James Collins of Ohio, Sara Martin of Columbus, Ohio, Michael Martin and Stephen Martin both of Uniontown, Bobby Orr and wife Jen of Greensburg, Pa., Eric Orr of Uniontown; nine great grand children: Brenna, Logan, Parker, C o r b i n, E m i l y, Michael, Chloe, Dante, Aiden.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD F U N E R A L H O M E, HOPWOOD, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with the Reverend Dale Rexrode officiating.

Interment will follow in Sansom Chapel Cemetery, Farmington, where Military Service will be conducted by AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood.
