Charles Speggen, 86, of Masontown, Pa. died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at his home. He was born June 7, 1925 in Masontown.

He was the son of the late Louis & Mary (Mioranza) Speggen.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years Doris (Provence) Speggen; 2 daughters; Bonnie Woods and Jim Taylor of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Cindy Ward and husband Jim of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 2 grand-children: Jennifer Woods of Tennessee and Amanda Woods of Pittsburgh Pa.; a sister Eda Tiberi of the state of California; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church of Masontown, PA.

Friends will be received in the BERNARD M. TOWNSEND FUNERAL HOME 220 South Main Street Masontown, PA today from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m., when a Prayer Service will be held with Rev. Fr. James F. Bump as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park Waynesburg, Pa.
