Wilma Jean (Little) Raymond
Wilma Jean Little Raymond, age 92, of Markleysburg, Pa., passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 in Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Oakland, Maryland.
She was born June 4, 1919 the daughter of Freeman and Ida Little in Markleysburg, Pa.
Wilma was a member of the Union Chapel Church and also attended Bunnell Methodist Church in Bunnell, Florida.
She was retired from the A. J. McMullen Jr. High School as Cafeteria Manager.
She owned/operated Billie’s Restaurant in Farmington, Pa.
She worked at the Namosa and Gorley’s restaurants both in Markleysburg.
Mrs. Raymond was a one time President of the School Food Association.
When she lived in Bunnell, Florida, Wilma worked at Marineland Food Service (Dolphin Restaurant).
She loved to cook for others and have family picnics!
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ervin R. Raymond; brothers, Floyd, Wilbur, Ernest, Harim, Ronald, Robert; sisters, Ethel, Thelma, Hazel; and daughter-in-law, Lisa A. Raymond.
Surviving are a son, Ervin ‘Rusty’ Raymond Jr. of Orange City, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 7 p.m. in UNION CHAPEL CHURCH, Flat Rock Road, Markleysburg, Pa., with Pastor David Herring officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the RODNEY S. TURNER FUNERAL HOME, Markleysburg, Pennsylvania.
