Georges Twp. prohibits parking on two streets

By Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

Georges Township supervisors adopted an ordinance Tuesday that prohibits parking on or along Darby and Clay streets.

According to Linda Smith, township secretary, the supervisors authorized township solicitor Ricardo Cicconi to prepare the paperwork to establish a 10-ton weight limit on Sutton Hill and Harden Hollow roads. Smith said supervisors don’t want heavy trucks traveling on the roads.

In other business, Smith said the supervisors adopted a resolution to add Matthew Pavlovich’s property to the state Department of Agriculture security area. She said Pavlovich requested that his property be added to the area.

Supervisors also asked that people not park their vehicles along township roads during snowstorms to allow snowplows to get through, Smith said.
