Thomas R. Wadsworth, Sr., 78 of Daisytown, Pa. died Sunday, January 8, 2012 in his home.

He was born August 25, 1932 in Daisytown, Pa., a son of the late Harry and Mary (Staley) Wadsworth.

Mr. Wadsworth was a 1950 graduate of California High School.

For many years Mr. Wadsworth worked on the long wall and continuous miner for J & L Steel, Vesta No. 5 mine.

He enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are three sons: Thomas R. Wadsworth, Jr. (Leeta) of Smock, Pa., Phillip C. Wadsworth of Daisytown, Pa. and Lee Roy Wadsworth of Washington, Pa.; one daughter, Mary Ann Stimmell (Robert) of Smock, Pa.; 12 grand-children; four great grand-children; four brothers: Harry D. Wadsworth of Blainesburg, Pa., Charles Wadsworth of Monongahela, Pa., John Wadsworth of Daisytown, Pa. and Joseph Wadsworth of Fayette City, Pa.; one sister, Betty Jane Crouse of Daisytown, Pa.; several nieces and nephews and his former wife Phyllis McAvoy of Ellsworth, Pa.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a brother William Wadsworth.
